The cuvée Pertois-Lebrun n°12 Grand Cru from the Collection “Les Fidèles” comes from Chardonnays from the plot located on the eponymous locality "Derrière le Mont Aigu”. Planted in 1955 by Paul Pertois, the grandfather of Antoine and Clément, it is located on the Terroir of Chouilly, a Grand Cru classified village of the prestigious Côte des Blancs.
Description
The Chardonnays that make up this cuvée are vinified and aged on fine lees for 10 months in stainless steel vats. The bottles then benefit from aging for 6 years on slats in the cellars of the House where the champagne gains in complexity.
This cuvée Derrière le Mont Aigu n°12 was bottled in only 3140 copies. Without added sulphites or dosage liqueur, this Champagne Blanc de Blancs Pertois-Lebrun n°12 is the authentic expression of the terroir, the wine and nature.
This 100% Chardonnay Grand Cru champagne offers a nose on the white stone marked by chalk and then reveals delicate biscuity notes and white flowers. On the palate, the attack is lively, with a nice tension and great purity carried by the minerality. The finish is spicy and persistent.
