Description
This L'Esprit Port Mourant molasses rum was distilled in 2005 by the Port Mourant distillery in Guyana.
After aging for 12 years, this 2005 vintage was bottled in 2017 at 60° strength, without reduction , without coloring or chill filtration. Like all the other rums in the Collection L'Esprit, this rum comes from a single cask (here Single Cask # BB 22) and was only produced in a small limited series of 234 numbered copies, a rare gem to find for lovers of vintage rums!
On the tasting side, this pale gold-coloured rum reveals a green nose, with herbaceous notes of green wood, olive, with toasted, and ashy smoke, pepper, mint, star anise, pine sap, heather and iodine. The palate is oily and we again find iodized, peppery, smoky, star anise, leather and aromatic herb notes. The iodine brings vegetal notes of seaweed and black pepper.
