La Favorite Cuvée 180ème Récolte white rum is made up of 4 unique limited editions that celebrate the 2022 harvest (March, April, May and June) and the 180th anniversary of the Martinican distillery La Favorite.
Description
Founded in 1842, La Favorite distillery is the very last independent family distillery in Martinique. Bought in 1905 by Henri Dormoy, he then modernized it with the famous blue steam engine, still in service today. Despite its modernization, the distillery maintains traditional methods and uses only hand-cut sugar cane, with the desire to include each step in an eco-responsible approach.
Each special 180-year-old cuvée La Favorite reflects the richness of the distillery's know-how and is distinguished by its unique taste tones. Récolte de Mars, Récolte d’Avril, Récolte de Mai et Récolte de Juin were bottled at 56°.
- Récolte de Mars La Favorite offers a nose with fruity notes and a delicious attack on the palate on sugar cane. The finish of this harvest is fruity with a subtly peppery touch.
- Récolte d’Avril La Favorite presents a fresh nose with a creamy and herbaceous attack on the palate. Its finish is minty with a touch of cane sugar.
- Récolte de Mai La Favorite has a spicy nose and notes of fresh cane. The attack on the palate is vegetal evolving into fruity notes. The finish of this harvest is on more floral and slightly peppery notes. It has a minty finish with some tea notes.
- Récolte de Juin La Favorite presents a fresh and spicy nose with sweetness on the palate, fruity and floral notes. In the finish, the flowers take over accompanied by delicate peppery notes.
Each bottle is numbered and sealed with wax manually.
