Description
Produced by the Montebello distillery in Guadeloupe, this dark rum is 100% pure cane juice. It aged in Bourbon casks with a 8-month-finish in Puligny Montrachet François Carillon wine barrels (Burgundy), with a total aging of 12 years in the Tropics.
Distilled in 2010 then bottled at 47% cask strength in 2022, this vintage rum was produced in only 70 bottles.
The 12-year-old rum Famille Ricci – Montebello 2010 offers a greedy nose on hazelnut, almond and macadamia nut as well as an ample mouth with a very nice fat. The concentrated cane juice is slightly lemony and has hints of pecan nuts and lightly toasted hazelnut. It has a very nice length on the palate, on spices and shelled fruits, accompanied by a subtle woodiness.
This rum will seduce by its very beautiful complexity and its original aromatic profile.
