Description
The prestigious Distillerie Longueteau is the oldest family distillery in Guadeloupe. It is 100% autonomous in sugar cane, only from the plantations of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie. From farming to bottling, everything is managed by Distillerie Longueteau.
The estate is made up of 12 plots of 2 varieties of sugar cane, blue cane and red cane. Each plot benefits from different conditions of sunshine, humidity and temperature: each rum Longueteau thus expresses the particularities of its micro-terroir.
The cuvée of this Longueteau Genesis Vieux 2016 comes from plot no. 9 planted with red canes. Put in barrels at 72.3%, this is after 4 years spent in contact with the wood of French oak barrels that this rum was bottled at 71.7% in a limited series (2000 bottles).
