This rum L'Esprit Ten Cane 2008 is a new signature of Tristan Prodhomme, Le Caviste Spécialiste and independent bottler, produced by the Ten Cane distillery in Trinidad and Tobago. Created in 2007 by LVMH with the aim of producing pure cane juice rum in Pot Still for the American market, the Ten Cane distillery closed its doors a few years later due to lack of success.

Description

After aging for 14 years, this L'Esprit Ten Cane 2008 rum was bottled in 2022 at 63.4° cask strength without reduction, coloring or chill filtration. Like all the rums in the Collection L'Esprit, this rum comes from a single cask (#BB 12) and was only produced in very limited series of 264 numbered copies.

The independent bottling of the L’Esprit range marks the desire to make people discover "The original spirit of rum". And here you will discover a little vintage gem from Trinidad…

On the tasting side, we are on an expressive and rich aromatic profile, where notes of leather, coffee, dates, cocoa and toasted oak mingle with notes of cinnamon and bark of 'orange. On the palate, we again find leather and coffee but also dried fruits, sweet spices and caramel.

This is a remarkable very rare selection, since the distillery no longer exists!
