The Libere 2020 cuvée from Domaine des Closiers is produced from a very small plot of Chardonnay (30 acres). While Chardonnay is often blended to produce Crémant de Loire, Domaine des Closiers wanted to highlight this plot in order to offer one of the most atypical white wines in the Loire (in IGP Val de Loire).
Description
The grapes are harvested manually, pressed before being sung by gravity in Burgundian rooms of 2 wines for fermentation then the wine is aged for ten months.
The micro-oxygenation during the aging period allows this Chardonnay to round off and the notes of dried fruits, apples, honey and its floral and brioche side to reveal themselves.
The Libere 2020 cuvée has a fleshy texture and a dense aromatic.
