Whisky Mars Komagatake Shinshu Aging Edition 2021, 48°

Mars Whisky comprises two distilleries, Shinshu and Tsunuki, owned by the Hombo Shuzo Group, makers of traditional Japanese wines and spirits.

The Shinshu Distillery is located at the bottom of Komagatake Mountain, in the heart of the Japanese Alps. It went through difficult times between 1992 and 2001 with relocations, mothballing, closure and then a revival in 2011.

This Komagatake Shinshu Aging whisky, distilled in 2021, has aged in ex-bourbon and sherry casks. The making of this Japanese Single Malt Whisky allowed the distillery to determine the ideal profile for their future style of Single Malt whiskies, which had been in development since 2018.

This whiskey Komagatake 2021 becomes the classic expression of the so-called Single Malt whiskeys of the distillery and you will appreciate all its richness, elegance and oily profile.
