Founded in 2008 by Ichiro Akuto (grandson of the founder of the Hanyu distillery), the Chichibu distillery is located in the heart of the picturesque landscapes of Saitama prefecture, Japan. Although relatively young, Chichibu quickly acquired a worldwide reputation thanks to its ability to produce high quality whiskies, combining tradition and innovation.

The Chichibu Intergalactic Series offer a perfect combination of an exquisite palette and eccentric labels featuring retro sci-fi illustrations. First launched in 2019, this series includes 6 editions of unique great whiskeys to date, which combine both tradition and modern trends. Each edition is produced in very limited quantities, with less than 250 bottles per edition!

Chichibu Intergalactic Edition 5:

This 100% Japanese single malt Chichibu Intergalactic Series 5 was distilled in 2015 and aged in first-fill bourbon casks. It was bottled in 2021 at 62.3% from cask #4316, only 209 copies.

Chichibu Intergalactic Edition 6:

This Chichibu Intergalactic Series 6 single malt was also distilled in 2015 and then aged in first-fill bourbon casks. It was bottled in 2021 at 63.6% from cask #5486. Only 202 bottles were produced for this limited edition.
