The Kingsbury Single Cask Port Morant 1974 rum is an exceptional rum, produced at the Port Morant distillery in Guyana and distilled in 1974 from molasses in a double wooden still. With an alcohol content of 65.7%, it offers an intense and refined experience.
Selected and bottled by the independent Scottish bottler Kingsbury, renowned in Japan, this rare 1974 vintage Demerara rum is a real treasure for spirits lovers.
The Port Morant Distillery, which ceased production in the 1950s, saw its stills transferred to Uitvlugt, who have continued to perpetuate the style of this unique rum. Although Uitvlugt is now also closed, the Port Morant still continues to bring exceptional spirits to life at Guyana's only remaining distillery, Diamond.
Founded in 1989 by Eaglesome, the famous Campbeltown delicatessen bought by J & A Mitchell & Co of the Springbank Distillery, Kingsbury quickly established itself as the Japan's most sought-after independent bottler. Before being acquired by the Japanese company Native Import System, Kingsbury bottled exclusively for the Japanese market. The brand has been able to offer whiskeys and rums of incomparable quality, becoming collector's items prized by connoisseurs around the world.
