Description
This molasses rum is a 2007 vintage, distilled the year of its harvest. Like all rums in the L'Esprit range, it comes from a Single Cask, here #BB 10. However, in an unusual way for the bottler but in line with the Foursquare tradition, it is a blend of column distilled rum and pot still distilled rum.
After aging until 2017, it was bottled at 65.3° strength (without reduction), without coloring or chill filtration, in just 250 numbered copies.
Old gold in colour, this rum L'Esprit Foursquare 2007 has a nose of wax, honey, polish and leather, all enhanced by sweet spices (cinnamon and ginger), caramelized brown sugar, cocoa and coffee. The palate is soft and oily with spices from dried fruit and roasted coffee beans. Then develop notes drawing on leather, cocoa, black coffee, nuts and honey gingerbread.
