The rum Ovni n°3 enhances the selection of Famille Ricci, breeder, blender and bottler since 2019 in the south of France.
Description
This exceptional rum released in 2022 is the result of a blend of rums from 3 different distilleries: Hampden, a 39-year-old Jamaican rum which represents 15% of the blend, Uitvlugt from Guyana 33 years old for a 35% share and finally the famous 17-year-old Foursquare for 50% of the blend.
Distilled in Pot Still and column stills, these three blended rums aged in bourbon and ex-Hampden casks. The blend was bottled at 56.4% with no added sugar or coloring.
The Famille Ricci – Ovni n°3 rum has a fruity nose of mango and ripe strawberries, with a touch of liquorice. On the palate, it is an aromatic explosion: fresh fruits add some panache to the rum and are pairing with notes of precious wood, grated cola and cocoa powder. The very long finish with a slight bitterness on the licorice is accompanied by riper exotic fruits and fresh coconut.
