Rum Mezan, Guyana 2008 46°
78.00 €
The Rum Guyana 46°, signature of the prestigious Mezan house, is a 2008 distilled by Diamond, the last distillery in Guyana owned by Demerara Distillers Limited.
Description
This traditional dark rum was distilled on a double pot still, which turns out to be the famous double wooden still inherited from the Port Mourant distillery after its closure. It was then placed in bourbon barrels in Guyana for 3 years, then it was transported to Europe, where it benefited from an aging of 9 additional years, for a total aging of 12 years.
Without added sugar or coloring and bottled without chill filtration, this rum Guyana 2008 is once again the perfect reflection of the "untouched rum" philosophy promoted by Mezan.
This rum Guyana 2008 offers herbaceous, green banana and lychee notes with a slight touch of caramel cream. On the palate, oak and cedar aromas bring sweetness, followed by a finish with chilli and fresh vanilla aromas.
