The rum Longueteau Genesis Blanc 2018 is the third batch of the famous Longueteau Genesis Brut de Column collection. This white agricultural rum is a grand cru which once again does honor to the prestigious Distillerie Longueteau.
Description
The oldest family distillery in Guadeloupe is 100% self-sufficient in sugar cane, coming from the plantations of the Domaine du Marquisat de Sainte-Marie.
The estate is made up of 12 plots of 2 varieties of sugar cane: red cane and blue cane. Each plot benefits from different conditions of sunshine, humidity, and temperature. Each plot of Longueteau rum thus expresses the particularities of its micro-terroir.
The cuvée of this Genesis Blanc 2018 comes from plot no. 9 planted with red canes. This rum rested for 24 months in stainless steel tanks after its distillation in 2018, which gave it a little roundness. Bottled at 72.7% without reduction, this tasting rum surprises with its aromatic power.
