This rum Trinidad 46°, signature of the prestigious Mezan house, is a 2009 distilled by Trinidad Distillers Limited. The distillery cultivates its own strains of yeast which makes this ingredient unique and gives the fermentation all its originality. After a 48-hour fermentation and a few days of rest, the distillation is carried out in modern multi-column stills.
Description
This dark rum then aged 3 years on the island of Trinidad in ex-bourbon barrels, then 9 additional years in Europe in rum barrels, for a total aging of 12 years.
Without added sugar or coloring and bottled without chill filtration, this Trinidad rum perfectly reflects the "untouched rum" philosophy promoted by Mezan.
Trinidad thus offers authentic and characteristic aromas of its region. It is both balanced and expressive with notes of sweet spices, vanilla and leather followed by flavors of banana and tropical fruits, all making the tasting unique and incomparable.
