Description

Wine tasting :
The 2011 Chateauneuf du Pape is a blend of two-thirds Grenache and the rest an interesting concoction of 12% Syrah, 13% Mourvedre and the rest Cinsault and other permitted grapes. It displays an attractive bouquet of black cherry fruit, loamy soil and foresty aromas in addition to plenty of glycerin, body and freshness. There is no evidence of oak as the wine is aged primarily in foudre. This fleshy, seductive 2011 should drink well for 5-7 years.
From : Robert Palmer

Feature :
Generous wine,in all the terms by combining sweet to strength and fullness to power. We can find a real pot-pourri of fruity aromas ( blackcurrant, Morello cherry, raspberry, cherry and strawberry). A very tasted matter, silky and well ripe tannins. Flavours of blackberry and cinnamon, overtones of toasting and peanut beans vanilla flavoured at the end.

Type of soil
Calcareous to flint, sandy-silty and rolled pebbles.

Grenache : 64 %
Mourvèdre : 13 %
Syrah : 12 %
Cinsault, counoise, terret noir, vaccarèse et muscardin : 11 %
